About Kettering Tang Soo Do Association
As a member-driven club, we are dedicated to preserving the integrity of traditional Korean martial arts through structured training and expert instruction. Our philosophy centers on core values of respect, discipline, and perseverance, fostering not only technical skill but also confidence, flexibility, and camaraderie.

While we are an independent association, we also realise that lineage and legitimacy is important.  Because of this we are members of the World Dang Soo Do Union to reassure our members of that link back to Korea.

So whether you seek self-defense proficiency, physical fitness, or personal development – Tang Soo Do offers a balanced path forward. Join us in a supportive environment where tradition meets practical mastery.

Proud to share that we’ve achieved the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts (SCiMA) award from Sport England.

Safeguarding isn’t a badge to collect — it’s a commitment to creating a training environment where trust, safety, and accountability are non‑negotiable. Earning this recognition reflects the work that goes on behind the scenes: clear policies, transparent processes, and a culture where wellbeing is taken seriously at every level.

Grateful to everyone involved in helping us meet and uphold these standards. This is another step in ensuring our club remains a place where people can train with confidence, grow with support, and know they’re in safe hands.

We are very pleased to have been awarded the Club Colours Award from the BMABA.

Club Colours isn’t about unnecessary bureaucracy. It’s about doing the basics every club should do – and verifying it through their ISO 9001:2015 UKAS Accredited Framework.

Club Colours is BMABA’s gold-standard governance framework for martial arts clubs. It ensures our club meets the essential requirements that parents, students, and insurers expect – from safeguarding and insurance to instructor qualifications and proper club administration.

We’re proud to announce that Kettering Tang Soo Do Association has officially achieved the BMABA Bronze Regulation Ready Award!

This recognition reflects our commitment to high standards, safety, professionalism, and delivering quality martial arts training for our community. A huge thank you to our instructors, students, and supporters who helped make this possible!
